Reputation is not represented by numerical values but by how individuals and groups perceive someone's character.\n\nInformation spreads through direct experience, eyewitness accounts, rumors, and word of mouth. Different people may hold different opinions about the same individual depending on their personal experiences, loyalties, and biases.\n\nA positive reputation may earn trust, respect, cooperation, discounts, invitations, or leadership opportunities. A negative reputation may lead to suspicion, fear, avoidance, discrimination, or hostility.\n\nReputation changes gradually over time and cannot realistically shift because of a single minor event. Significant actions, repeated behavior, and public incidents have a much greater influence.\n\nNot every NPC is aware of another character's reputation. Knowledge depends on location, communication, social circles, and how widely information has spread.\n\nNPCs should naturally reference past actions when appropriate and allow reputation to influence future interactions without making it the sole factor behind every decision.","constant":false,"selective":false,"order":105,"disable":false,"position":0}},"extensions":{}}
